The MVNO iD Mobile, is transitioning its managed service applications and infrastructure to an alternative setup. The target infrastructure for the OCS is in the Cloud. Reporting to the Solution Lead, the Technical Delivery Manager is accountable for ensuring smooth transition across from the legacy platforms to the target infrastructure. The key to the success will be achieving business continuity with a seamless transition.  This role must cover all technology and business processes pertaining to the service. Focusing on outcomes, the role will ensure that partners and vendors are supported and managed to achieve the transition on time and to budget.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Ensuring release and cutover contracted deliverables are met to time and quality
  • Smooth technology transition
  • Support technology partners
  • Ensuring that timelines are met
  • Controlling scope and associated costs
  • Representing the interests of DixonsCarphone in a release management capacity at Design Authority meetings
  • Partner/Vendor Management

 

Business continuity across the transition period with respect to:

  • Application Management Services
  • Infrastructure Management Services
  • Business Process Office
  • Online Charging Solution 
  • BSS and OSS
  • Self-Care and Mobile App portals
  • Network Provisioning
  • Number porting (MNP)
  • Billing Operations


Skills/Experience

 

  • Mobile (MVNO) Telecoms experience; woith srong operations and billing experience
  • Good technical understanding of services and Telecoms
  • Project Management experience (4 years+)
  • Previous experience managing suppliers
  • Holding service reviews and driving performance
  • The ability to effectively negotiate with a range of personnel internal and external to the organisation, from junior levels up to Director level and highly technical teams to business teams 
  • Proven track record of working on successful transition/transformation programs
  • Ability to demonstrate effective planning and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work to long term deadlines as well as being able to react quickly and change priorities in order to meet business or industry demands
  • Understanding of credit control, debt recovery and credit risk
  • Appreciation of regulations pertaining to MNP/ OfCom and EU
