Senior CRM Data Strategist

An exciting opportunity to join the UK’s leading specialist electrical and telecommunications retailer and Services Company where helping everyone enjoy amazing technology is our driving force. We are passionate about technology, and the eyes and ears of the customer, our role is to champion customer insight across the business to deliver a true customer centric CRM programme working closely with Customer Data, Analytics & Insight teams as well as Agencies, Commercial Categories & Services teams. Collaboration and being a competent and mindful team player is absolutely crucial, whilst also being comfortable with owning and maintaining relationships and projects with key senior stakeholders.

 

The Role

  • The ideal candidate for this role will be confident, enthusiastic and passionate about everything data.
  • This is a superb role, to take ownership of the CRM Data Strategy as the organisation embraces and drives forward their customer engagement innovation and creating a holistic view of the customer
  • You will be driving change, creating new data sets and leading data innovation and best practice across the business with senior stakeholders across multiple areas 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Demonstrate a strategic mind-set by understanding the key business challenges and work with our IT, Analytical, Online and Marketing functions to drive CRM revenue, performance and Innovation
  • Identify opportunities within the data to drive improvements in our communication programmes and add value for the Customer 
  • Keep up to date with latest developments in the digital arena, feeding these into the team to support the ongoing development of our channels
  • Provide clear direction for data planning and steer the development of data segmentation, modelling and profiling for CRM and digital campaigns and reporting 
  • Working with all relevant internal stakeholders, to define the future CRM data roadmap & modelling to ensure that that the rest of the CRM team has an actionable data set in Adobe Campaign
  • Possess tghe curiosity and testing mind-set that effortlessly supports our CRM initiatives from hypothesis through to implementation and analysis.
  • Ensure all data capture, processing and management of CRM data complies with current GDPR regulations
  • Manage a team of 2 CRM data analysts to drive your ambition

 

Knowledge/Skills Required:

 

  • You're an experienced and entrepreneurial Data Strategist expert with big ambitions.
  • Strong understanding of CRM segmentation and database marketing with solid analytic ability to clearly translate results into actionable insights that deliver business value
  • Vast experience in large scale data projects, in which you improve or create brand new actionable data assets 
  • Highly numerate with experience of CRM measurement and understanding of statistical techniques 
  • Commercially astute with the ability to evidence recommendations that deliver commercial value  with data 
  • Logical thinker who can work through complex sets of data and map decision logic in a structured and efficient manner   
  • Strong communicator with intrinsic ability to explain complex logic to a range of stakeholders 
  • Proven track record of success with metric-driven results
  • Proven track record of major data transformation, migrations and ESP’s
