This is an exciting internal consultancy opportunity within the CEO strategy team of a market leading organisation. We are looking for an Operating Model Manager to join our Strategic Advisory function (independent function reporting straight into the CEO) – this role will work directly with the Exec board to shape the future organisation and design and deliver an operating model that enables the business to achieve its strategic vision. Dixons Carphone is on a transformational journey and this team is at the heart of driving that agenda – it is a fast-paced environment and we are looking for someone who has operating model experience, highly-effective communication skills and the ability to influence multiple stakeholders.

You will;

  • Support the Operating Model Lead across all phases of an end to end operating model design process:
    • Leading design workshops with key Exec functional stakeholders
    • AS-IS documentation and analysis e.g. capability mapping
    • TO-BE design development e.g. organisation charts, RACIs, processes
    • Financial/cost analysis of recommended changes to op model
    • Working with HR on role/people impact and supporting comms process
    • Implementation planning e.g. phasing, timelines
  • Lead discrete organisation design pieces of work involving a single function or department from understanding the organisational implications of strategy, through to design and implementation, while working closely with business owners and HRBPs
  • Maintain the overall UK&I operating model roadmap
  • Uphold the internal methodology for effective design of future Operating Model

You will have;

  • 2-3 years’ experience of organisational design – ideally across the entire end to end design process
  • Experience of working within a major FTSE 100 organisation or comparable organisation
  • Experience of working in matrix structures that are undergoing change
  • Proven ability to understand business needs and functional capability to inform pragmatic solutions that drive organisational performance
  • Expertise in building strong stakeholder relationships
  • Highly effective communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to correspond with people at all levels of the organisation
  • Intermediate MO Excel user
