Marketing Manager - Dixons Travel

The key purpose of this role is to lead and execute marketing plans, brand activities and partnerships to maximise sales and net profit for the Dixons Travel business across the UK, Ireland and Oslo.


You Will:


  • Support the Head of Marketing and input in to the creation and delivery of the marketing strategy
  • Take insights and use these to develop segmentation and tailor marketing to these audiences
  • Day to day management of all individual airport authority marketing relationships both in the UK and internationally, including Heathrow, Gatwick and Oslo
  • Ensure DT is well represented and first point of call for all opportunities, delivering clear and compelling communications and customer offers for passengers
  • Identify potential partnership opportunities, and  scope and deliver activities in line with overall marketing strategy and promotional plan
  • Build marketing plans for key brand partners & deliver incremental TA revenue whilst delivering exciting and engaging plans for customers
  • Ensure all marketing programmes are delivered on budget, delivering sales and profit targets where relevant
  • Maintain and own relationship with relevant agency to ensure updates of and recommend site developments
  • Line management responsibility for two Assistant Marketing Managers
  • Marketing point of contact for new project delivery i.e. Cruise Ship openings/new format store launches
  • Delivery of marketing promotions/programmes within critical path
  • Management of promotional programmes within budget
  • Delivery of reserve and collect financials in line with annual forecast


You Need:


  • Educated to degree standard or equivalent
  • Substantial marketing experience, ideally derived from working within travel or retail
  • Understanding / experience of International Retailing Experience of managing substantial marketing programmes
  • Experience of managing significant marketing budgets
  • Experience of managing multiple brands
  • Understanding of research techniques and  CRM/Insight techniques
  • Understanding of the multi-channel environment including social media
