The role is crucial for assisting the FP&A agenda for Dixons Carphone. The role holder will be a key member of the FP&A team, ensuring all financial forecasts and actuals are timely, accurate and communicated to the business. You will:


  • Lead the financial planning process across UK&I Finance to deliver monthly flash forecasts.
  • Lead the production of financials at month-end.
  • Lead the production of monthly board packs, QBRs and offsite presentations.
  • Own the weekly reporting that is sent to the Exec.
  • Co-ordinate and review inputs across UK&I Finance and from peers within FP&A.
  • Identify key trends and business insight to help assist with decision making.
  • Develop a strong commercial understanding to challenge inputs and assumptions and add value to the business.
  • Engage with multiple stakeholders within finance and the wider business, and develop business relationships.
  • Make recommendations and constantly look for efficiencies in FP&A process.
  • Evolve and develop financial information so it is concise, exception driven, timely and accurate to ensure the correct commercial decisions are taken.
  • Manage ad-hoc tasks as required

You will need:

  • Strong academics and be a recently / newly qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) 
  • Ideally have commercial experience gained within a similar industry or experience gained within a leading Accounting/Audit Firm
  • Experience of consolidation of numbers from multiple areas, and solid understanding of how financial statements are built and reported
  • Strong Excel & PowerPoint experience (essential); Hyperion & Essbase experience (desired)
  • Experience of production of management information documents for senior management
