ER Operations Manager

6- 8 month FTC


To lead and manage a team of ER Operations Partners to identify, develop and deliver employee relations solutions to stakeholders particularly the Heads of HR, HR Business Partners (HRBP), Line Managers and the wider ER Team.

To lead a team in contributing to the delivery of the overall ER and HR plan. Providing expert ER advice and support in various HR projects and through the further education and up skilling of Managers in all aspects of sound people management and employee relations practices.


As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • To provide through leadership and expertise an outstanding customer focused employee relations and policy solutions
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of ER policies in line with Dixons Carphone business strategies
  • Identification and development of progressive ER programmes based on trend analysis of past ER 
  • To work with the Head of ER and Senior ER Manager and align activity to support delivery of overall ER Function objectives.
  • To coordinate and communicate via the ER Operations Partners delivery of all ER non-BAU activity and programmes of work.
  • To lead and manage the team to ensure total ownership for employee relations materials and programmes
  • To provide expert advice and support for any programme of work relating TUPE, Change Management and Redundancies
  • To provide support with high profile and complex ER cases as and when required
  • Responsible for all Personal Development Reviews, 1:1s, coaching, mentoring and development of all team members


You will need:

  • Advanced ability to interpret complex legal guidance and translate these into clear procedures that can be used by all colleagues in relation to all employee relations matters
  • Excellent planning and organisation of own team workloads and activities to ensure all training, projects and policy development standards / deadlines are met through effective resource management and skills development.
  • Ability to deliver an effective Centre of Excellence in training and education for Managers
  • Strong subject matter expertise in the application of employment law, HR policy and process gained through working and managing key programmes such as TUPE, Change Management and Redundancies
  • Strong people management experience and skills in a fast moving, commercial environment
  • Expert level understanding of the UK employment law
