The eCommerce Merchandising & UX Specialist will have full responsibility for ensuring that the day to day online promotional calendar is executed in a clear, concise way that allows the customer to shop the site unhindered and transact through a positive browsing experience. This is a technical role where the successful individual will be required to comprehend the customer journey touch points where we experience both success and challenges. This will compliment the merchandising component of the role as you will be able to offer end to end knowledge of the site and it’s workings. 


Job Responsibilities

  • Direct responsibility for ensuring sites are merchandised to the high standard that reflects our brands
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for promotional and product merchandising across Carphonewarehouse.ie and Currys.ie 
  • Maintain and update customer facing assets and conduct scheduled audits of our stock range to ensure accuracy.
  • Display proficiency with analytics applications and UX tools, using the insight to make recommendations for improvements 
  • Creation of site content pages through HTML and CSS build.
  • Implementation of tracking tags and to dissect gaps in customer journeys. 
  • Ensure all UX projects that are undertaken are delivered within agreed SLAs and to a high standard. 
  • Engage with internal business units to identify commercial opportunities 
  • Assist the eCommerce Manager with delivery of online development initiatives 
  • Grow strong relationships with the UK business to leverage opportunities 
  • Conduct daily competitor reviews, assessing strengths and areas of opportunity for our site



  • At least 3 years’ experience within an eCommerce function
  • Extensive website CMS experience
  • Highly proficient in Analytics applications (e.g. Adobe Analytics & Google Analytics) & UX tools (Decibel Insights, Adobe Test & Target etc)
  • Experience with tag management tools such as Google Tag Manager and Adobe Dynamic Tag Manager. 
  • HTML, CSS and Photoshop are a must. Javacript knowledge is a plus
  • Familiar with SEO best practice and process to implement positive change
