A procurement category manager with Marketing on line & off line expertise to deliver  best practice sourcing process & negotiate the best overall commercial arrangement s for Dixons Carphone whilst ensuring the lowest total cost of ownership and delivering stakeholder requirements


You will:
•Support delivery of a “best in class” procurement function, reflective of a maturing FTSE 250 business.
•Develop and execute Procurement strategy for on line and off line Marketing activities in accordance with the category strategy and business partner needs and requirements
•Responsible for negotiating the best overall commercial arrangement s for Dixons Carphone whilst ensuring the lowest total cost of ownership and delivering stakeholder requirements
•Develop category strategies based on business and product needs, supply market dynamics, and technological changes in marketplace
•Communicate strategy within Procurement, Finance and Marketing
•Accountable for a supplier spend of c£146m across approx c 200 vendors for those categories has responsibility for, and lead an anticipated team of up to 1 heads, to inc:
•Delivery of personal and team agreed KPIs including delivery of visible & realisable benefit to the business  min £2m pa inc both PT & BAU targets
•Manage spend categories (c£146m) based on Procurement strategy and priority targets
•Ensure that spend category objectives are delivered within agreed timescales
••Structure the Requests for Proposals (RFP) and assess results
•Lead development of the negotiation strategy, preparing & conducting fact based negotiations
•Implement, execute and manage supplier contracts in line with Delegation of Authority
•Optimise supply base moving towards fewer strategic suppliers
•Manage supplier portfolio for responsible categories and identify potential suppliers to realise savings in line with agreed Strategic Sourcing Process
•Develop supplier relationship management strategies; build and maintain working relationships with key suppliers and improve supplier’s performance


You will need:
•Strong communication and influencing skills, with an intuitive understanding of the language that the business understands and can respond to, partnering with the function.

•Highly analytical and innovative, with the ability to spot opportunities and seize them for the good of the business, with the maturity to understand when the balance of tactical delivery with longer term, strategic wins.
•An understanding of great governance, controls and best in class process, policies & the metrics that support this to map corporate behaviour and drive continuous functional and corporate improvement
•Relevant Marketing + Print category expertise
•Demonstrable and proven track record of delivering cost savings, cost efficiencies, total cost of ownership improvement and continuous improvement
•Project and Programme Management experience on high value/risk/complexity projects (£5-80m)
•Advanced knowledge and experience of Category Strategy / Strategic Sourcing tools and techniques Advanced Level Negotiation Skills.
