As our Warehouse Manager you’ll be responsible for leading the warehouse operation at our new External Regional Distribution Centre (ERDC). You’ll oversee a high performing team of flexible, engaged colleagues and will focus on delivering operational excellence in order to put our customers first. 

As part of this position your responsibilities will include:

• Leading our ERDC warehouse teams to work with purpose; delivering outstanding performance against all relevant targets set across the functional area whilst creating a supportive and performance driven warehouse area where colleague achievements and contributions are widely thanked, recognised and rewarded.
• Driving and contributing to financial performance within a joint budgetary responsibility of up to £7m.
• Efficiently managing all people metrics, taking accountability of ERDC warehouse scheduling, absence, performance and talent conversations.
• Building effective relationships with other operating departments, ensuring a #We Win Together approach is consistent across the site.
• Analysing key performance measures to identify opportunities and risks across the ERDC warehouse and use this to develop a plan of action with the General Manager.
• Ensuring resource is planned thoroughly in reflection to operational and customer patterns in addition to ensuring all documentation and systems processes are carried out correctly and efficiently.
• Driving the achievement of applicable operational, financial and people KPIs.
• Acting as a role model and embedding strict adherence to safe and legal working practices, complying with and enforcing all Health and Safety and Security policies.


You will:

• Have a minimum of 3 years management experience, leading a warehouse operations area and teams of diverse colleagues as well as experience of implementing operational and team plans, managing resources and approaches to managing change within teams.
• Be an expert in leadership, with evidence of delivering strong results in terms of people and operations, with a proven ability to drive down and manage key cost budgets and build relationships with key stakeholders.
• Have excellent knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and warehouse operations.
• Be passionate about setting an example of excellence, providing fair, consistent and impartial leadership and operating to the peak of our values.
