Dixons Carphone are looking for a Senior Software Developer (PHP) to join our Loughborough office. You will be joining one of our high achieving, highly successful development teams sitting within our new Digital Hub!  

The team has enjoyed a lot of success over the past few years, and have been awarded Carphone Warehouse Team of the Year on two occasions previously. You will work with many cutting edge technologies in a wide variety of software solutions across the group and also for very high profile technology partners. We’re looking for Individuals that believe in creating industry leading software that can be rapidly deployed around the globe, using the latest in web technology.

Purpose of the role
The Senior Software Developer is a skilled and experienced software developer responsible for the delivery of software projects to a very high standard. Adopting the team’s core values, they would be responsible for ensuring that projects are being delivered on time and also fit for purpose. The Senior Software Developer would ensure that productivity within the team remains at a very high level. They would also be responsible for delegating tasks and mentoring software developers on a daily basis with coding patterns and best practices around the code and security.

Senior developers would also be required to challenge developers on concepts and ideas to make sure we’re adopting the best approach with all software development projects. They would also be required to communicate with stakeholders to gather clear and concise requirements for development projects.
