We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of large cross-function digital projects, from definition through to implementation and handover to the business, to help aid the realisation of the Dixons Carphone strategic vision. 


The Role

  • Accountable for delivering a range of projects to help realise the DCG strategy and in-tern vision, with a 1 to 3-year horizon
  • Own senior project stakeholder relationships and engage the business more broadly with project communications
  • Develop high performing project teams, with good knowledge management, who work in collaboration with the business
  • Establish and sustain an effective governance framework to ensure the appropriate level of oversight and control is in place across their projects
  • Co-ordinate the definition and delivery of detailed business requirements through collaboration with the business and other 3rd parties
  • Work in collaboration with project sponsor and key stakeholders within the business to ensure shared ownership for the delivery of project outcomes; in particular with Finance to ensure financial reporting of project benefits. Retail & Contact Centre to ensure alignment and buy-in across all omnichannel initiatives
  • Take ownership for key project deliverables (such as the plan and budget) across the project lifecycle and applies appropriate methodologies to support the achievement of wider project aims and objectives
  • Supporting the building and co-ordination of the annual three-year plan and budgeting progress to ensure we supporting strategic initiatives, driving in-year benefit whilst maintain operationally ready, compliance and secure 
  • Act as a brand ambassador for technology and play an active role in positively shaping how digital change capabilities are perceived by the wider business

 

 

Skills & Experience

  • At least 5 years’ experience working within a FMCG/Fashion or Hard Goods fast paced business with a track record of delivery on digital programmes
  • Experience of working with industry-standard agile frameworks
  • It is important that the person in role has experience of performing a similar role within a major FTSE 100 organisation or comparable organisation or has experience of delivering the requirements of this role across multiple clients as a member of a top tier professional services (consulting) firm.
