Senior Project Manager - Connected Channels

 

Leads the delivery of strategic projects across a defined workstream, Connected Channels, within the digital programme team to ensure successful delivery of the multi-channel change agenda through the definition, design and implementation of initiatives, to help aid the realisation of the Dixons Carphone strategic vision. Working in partnership with the business, Retail, Finance, IT, and wider business functions, acting as the custodian of change across the UK&I digital estate and a digital ambassador.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the development and execution of the Connected Channels workstream. Delivering change projects to help realise the key capability requirements of the DCG strategy, with a 1 to 3 year delivery horizon
  • Facilitate the formation of the Connected Channels 3 year plan and 1 year roadmap in line with the DC & Digital Strategy, embracing innovation and digital market trends
  • Manage ideas through from conception, to gaining c-board level buy-in, to delivery & embedding the change into business as usual through first-class change management
  • Work in collaboration with project sponsors and key stakeholders within the business to ensure shared ownership for the delivery of project outcomes
  • Lead complex cross-functional change into the organisation through the application of ‘best in class’ project, programme and change management
  • Own senior project stakeholder relationships and engage the business more broadly with project communications
  • Develop high performing project teams, with good knowledge management, who work in collaboration with the business
  • Establish and sustain an effective governance framework
  • Co-ordinate the definition and delivery of detailed business requirements through collaboration with the business, IT and other 3rd parties
  • Take ownership for key project deliverables (such as the business case, plan & budget) across the project lifecycle and applies appropriate methodologies to support the achievement of wider project aims and objectives

 

Key skills & experience required

  • 4+yrs project or programme management
  • It is important that the person in role has experience of performing a similar role within a major FTSE 100 organisation or comparable organisation, or has experience of delivering the requirements of this role across multiple clients as a member of a top tier professional services (consulting) firm
  • Expert knowledge and experience of relevant project management methodologies, development life cycles e.g. Waterfall, Agile and Continuous Improvement.

 

Skills
