Senior Project Manager

 

Leads the delivery of strategic projects across a defined workstream within the digital team to ensure successful delivery of the change agenda through the definition, design and delivery of a change projectto realise the strategic objectives of Dixons Carphone UK&I; working in partnership with the business, finance and IT, and wider functions,acting as the custodian of all change across the UK&I digital estate and a ambassador for online.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the development of change projects to realise the key capability requirements of the DCG strategy, with a 1 to 3 year delivery horizon
  • Work in collaboration with project sponsors and other stakeholders within the business to ensure shared ownership for the delivery of project outcomes; in particular with Finance to ensure financial reporting of project benefits
  • Lead complex cross-functional change into the organisation through the application of ‘best in class’ project, programme and change management
  • Own senior project stakeholder relationships and engage the business more broadly with project communications
  • Develop high performing project teams, with good knowledge management, who work in collaboration with the business
  • Establish and sustain an effective governance framework to ensure the appropriate level of oversight and control is in place across their projects
  • Co-ordinate the definition and delivery of detailed business requirements through collaboration with the business, IT and other 3rd parties
  • Take ownership for key project deliverables 
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Online and play an active role in positively shaping how digital change capabilities are perceived by the wider business

 

Key skills & experience required

 

  • 4+yrs project or programme management
  • It is important that the person in role has experience of performing a similar role within a major FTSE 100 organisation or comparable organisation, or has experience of delivering the requirements of this role across multiple clients as a member of a top tier professional services (consulting) firm
  • Expert knowledge and experience of relevant project management methodologies, development life cycles e.g. Waterfall, Agile and Continuous Improvement.
