We’re looking for an ambitious individual for the role of Senior Commercial Manager who will have responsibility for our fixed broadband and TV network partners.

Our network partner relationships are central to our “Multiplay” business – they provide the network connections and commercials that together account for c. 10% of Carphone Warehouse revenues.

 

The Multiplay Connectivity Team is the commercial team which manages the end to end relationships with UK fixed broadband providers to maximise the profitability of our commercial agreements.

 

The team is specifically accountable for the commercial agreements with UK networks and all network revenue which feeds into the P&L. The team should support the Multiplay team to ensure Carphone Warehouse can deliver competitive propositions to market, whilst maximising the value of a customer. There is a wide integration with many areas of the business to achieve these aims, such as retail, operations, finance and marketing. The team is also responsible for all Multiplay customer pricing data updates.

 

You will:

  • Report into the ‘Multiplay Trading Director’, support the primary day-to-day relationship with the networks – including the overall commercial contract and delivery against this
  • Support the definition of the commercial strategy for your network partner and build the commercial and operational plan to deliver
  • Support the relationship with the Network(s), in particular, the point of contact for all commercial, trading and operational issues and opportunities
  • Provide leadership support within the team to ensure delivery of priorities internally with the business and externally to the network
  • Have key input and ownership of annual joint business plan with your network partners that moves the relationship beyond a contract
  • Manage the Data team to ensure new network tariffs and propositions are introduced successfully and efficiently into the business
  • Maximise network revenue generation through new innovative initiatives
  • Planning and agreeing network targets with the network and the business

 

You will need:

  • Ability to deliver multiple requirements against tight deadlines and react to change
  • Experience of supplier management and managing cross-functional teams
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel & PowerPoint
  • To be educated to a Degree level or equivalent 
  • Expert analytical and numerical skills
