€10.30 per hour

This role will provide Customer Service and Retail Sales experience in an online retail environment, offering our customers advice to match their needs and lifestyle. Basically, this role provides customers with all the expertise and assistance in their shopping journey that they would receive in store but via our online platform Currys.ie using video chat.

  • Assist our customers, finding the right products for their needs through our Digital Store Platform, Currys.ie. 
  • Activity look to positively interact with Customers to achieve customer satisfaction scores.
  • Support the delivery of the Shoplive targets during each period.
  • Serve our customers through the video chat in a timely manner, engaging interest throughout the call, while maximising the experience for the customer with knowledge and expertise.
  • Deliver standards of excellence within your area of responsibility ensuring that we offer an easy end to end customer experience.
  • Maintain and seek to improve levels of product knowledge utilising our online learning platform “MyLearning” demonstrating expertise to customers therefore helping everyone enjoy amazing technology.
  • Attend briefings on business updates & on ShopLive
  • Ensure that GDPR, security, stock, and administration procedures are followed 
  • Comply with all applicable statutory training and company regulations regarding the sale of Regulated products, Fire, Health & Safety and Security issues to protect Customers and Colleagues
  • To be fully engaged and flexible with the ShopLive team, to work in alliance with other teams, to reflect the needs of our customers and the varying demands of our business
  • Carry out all reasonable requests by your Line Manager within a timely manner.
  • Active Participation on Workplace and Workchat including live communications, sharing best practices and celebration


Required Skills & Experience


  • What knowledge, skills and ability are needed for this role?
  • Previous experience in Sales or Customer Service in a retail environment and the ability to offer amazing advice to our customers through the online journey.
  • Has the ability to multi-task (Speak, listen, demonstrate, type and use a camera at the same time).
  • Confident to communicate clearly via a camera
  • Ability to adapt to Technology and creatively demonstrate feature advantages and benefits.
  • Knowledgeable and keen to learn about the latest products.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint, Word
