You will be working at one of the leading repair centres in Europe, repairing high end customer products for the largest high street retailer in the country.You will be providing a high-quality service to our customers through strong standards of CLR (Component Level Repair). As a CLR technician you will be covering a range of manufacturers and faults. You would be expected to make cosmetic repairs, check internal and external modules.

What You’ll do in the role:

  • Be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic target driven environment.
  • To adhere to targets and a predetermined quality standard to all repairs.
  • Responding to individual customer’s needs and requirements.
  • Perform electronic fault-finding including functionality check.
  • Ascertain the warranty status of a product to eliminate damaged products.
  • Diagnose component level faults in order to effect repairs.
  • Repair to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Ensure long term technical CLR solutions are carried out to meet customer needs.
  • Be adaptable to carry our CLR work on all product categories, Notebook , Desktop, Mobile, Flat Panel , Tablets.

  • Minimise Turn-around time to ensure a fast-reliable service to customers.
  • Ensuring products are repaired first time to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Maximise repair efficiency to control repair costs.
     

What you need to bring to the role:

  • Basic knowledge of common software and hardware configurations.
  • Good logical diagnostic skills.
  • Competent in the use of diagnostic and test equipment.
  • Previous electronic experience.
  • Good experience in a customer contact environment.
  • PC literate to a good standard.
     

It would be great if you also had:

  • To have a Level 2 City and Guilds/ NVQ Electronics qualification, IPC Certification
  • Ability to solder using soldering iron, use hot air station , pre heater and BGA machine 
  • Diagnose faults with the use of schematic diagrams
