Description

Our Central Operations team are in search of a Programme Managerto lead a portfolio of Technology & Operational Change projects along with the accompanying PMO within the Dixons-Carphone Core UK&I Business. 

You will:

  • Lead the delivery of a portfolio of projects and through regular reassessment of priorities, resolving resource conflicts, and agreeing additions or modifications.
  • Implement & up hold an effective programme governance structure across the portfolio
  • Work with Sponsors/Steering Committees to develop a concise scope and ensure all activity for the life cycle of the project positively contributes.
  • Build and manage relationships with both IT and 3rd party partners to ensure the Business requirements are met in both quality and cost
  • Pro-actively manage stakeholders, clients, and partner relationships at senior levels
  • Ensure all Project(s) documentation and updates to both Steering Committees and Project Teams are in alignment with the Implementation lifecycles are informative, concise and reflective.
  • Identify and manage dependencies external to the project and define routines to monitor these against the Project(s) activity.
  • Be responsible for the Portfolio budgets to ensure business benefits are reached in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Hold line management responsibility for a team of Project Managers, Business Analysts and support roles

You Will Need

  • Expert knowledge of relevant project and programme management methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • To be highly skilled in relationship management, written and verbal communications, and influencing skills
  • Expert knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and governing multiple programme streams simultaneously, including risk management.
  • Expert knowledge of budgeting and benefit tracking
  • Good knowledge of programme organisation structures and the ability to build teams who are set up for success.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering large, complex programmes in a highly changeable environment
  • Experience of managing teams of highly capable, sometimes challenging people
  • Demonstrable programme/project management experience
  • Experience of delivering change across a large multi-site retailer
  • Experience of using Microsoft Project
  • Project Management certification (e.g. Prince 2, Lean Six Sigma, etc.)
