As one of the main strategic growth opportunities for Dixons Carphone PLC, iD is looking to continue its growth ambitions, and this role is a key part of that success. In the heart of the Acquisitions Trading team, this role is responsible for attracting new customers to the business, by staying on top of customer demands, and staying ahead of the curve in terms of our competitors. The role can be summarised as having responsibility for the trading plan, performance and strategy for iD handset categories across all sales channels.

 

Please note, this role is a 12 Month FTC

 

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:

 

  • Setting the Trading direction and strategy for acquisition of customers across Handsets, translating this into monthly and quarterly sales plans 
  • Working with Carphone Warehouse (CPW) channel teams to achieve monthly sales targets, providing tariff portfolio/promotional portfolio to support performance 
  • Setting pricing for MNVO channel and work with iD web/affiliates teams to optimise proposition & pricing
  • Analysing commercial performance of tariff portfolio, challenging the quarterly pricebook assumptions 
  • Leading day-to-day processes with CPW Buying and Supply Chain to understand handset ranging & stock forecasts/planning
  • Developing market share and competitor insight to understand market trends and optimise Trading performance and strategy  

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

 

  • Strong commercial awareness to inform tactical and long-term decision making 
  • Experience in the Telco industry is advantageous 
  • Excellent analytical skills including Microsoft Excel 
  • Good ability to analyse complex problems and deliver insightful and practical solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience working cross-functionally
