IT Portfolio Lead 

North Acton, Head Office, London

 

Reporting to the IT Portfolio Manager, The IT Portfolio Lead will provide oversight, control and governance across the IT Change Portfolio, ensuring Projects and Programmes deliver the desired outcome to budget, quality and on time. Owning the IT Programme Framework to ensure consistent ways of working, efficiency and successful IT delivery.

 

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Provide consolidated reports, KPI’s & dashboards, to monitor project health and status, highlighting key delivery risks and issues. Own the single source of truth across the portfolio to drive informed management decisions
  • Responsible for IT wide Programme Communications, plan and activity
  • Manage the Portfolio level RAID management process, ensuring appropriate escalations and consolidating common themes.
  • Own the Programme and Project Delivery Framework for IT, ensuring standards (Tools, documents and templates) and processes are in place and adhered to.
  • Attend Stage Gate Reviews in an independent Quality Assurance capacity
  • Provide Quality Assurance across the Portfolio, providing deep dive reviews when required by the IT SLT (Senior Leadership Team)
  • Own and manage the Portfolio Roadmap and Plan, managing milestones, dependencies and change
  • Ensure there is robust Change control across the portfolio, ensuring the upcoming changes are impacted and assessed appropriately against the Portfolio Plan, Budget and scope


 

You will need: 

  • Strong senior stakeholder management (including Exco) experience with the ability to influence and advise at all levels within the business
  • Experience managing PMO activity across a large IT Portfolio in a complex, fast-moving environment
  • Focus and drive to identify and implement solutions
  • Experience of resolving conflicts within project environments and across stakeholder groups
  • Maintain effective relationships with 3rd party suppliers
