Finance Manager (IT PMO)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our IT PMO team and provide financial management, resource planning and reporting across the IT organisation. 

 

The role holder will ensure controls are managed, produce consolidated, consistent reporting and own the single source of data for capacity and financial planning within IT to enable informed decisions, drive efficiencies and successful IT delivery.

 

You will:

  • Track the budget for the IT Portfolio 
  • Provide advisory support, review and challenge for financial and headcount data, identifying improvement opportunities, risks, and issues.
  • Support the IT SLT to drive financial best practice through coaching, training and development
  • Participate in Programme and Project Stage Gate reviews to highlight and escalate the impact of risk on capacity and financial forecasts
  • Oversee the resource management processes to manage the capacity plan for the IT Portfolio, highlighting risks to delivery or demand pipeline
  • Review Project Business cases to ensure all IT costs are accounted for
  • Resource tracking and reporting, consolidating and reviewing resource data across IT including impact of Joiners, Moves and Leavers
  • Cost modelling and scenario planning across IT portfolio where appropriate
  • Provide subject matter expert advice across IT on financial and resource planning activities driving the correct behaviours and outcomes
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across Project and Programme process
  • Review and asses change requests to mitigate or escalate the risk of impact to financial forecasts or resource plans
  • Oversee Portfolio compliance on PO/Invoice Management 
  • Supporting Project/Programme Managers to align contracts and PO’s to approved budgets

 

You will have:

  • A university degree/ equivalent or a finance qualification AAT/ ACCA/ CIMA
  • Experience within a similar Capacity & Budget Control/ Finance Project Lead role in a retail/ banking or fast-paced environment 
  • Strong senior stakeholder management experience with the ability to influence and advise at all levels within the business
  • Problem Solving – able to analyse and understand complex data and situations to recommend the optimal solution
