This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing UK Finance Function Team here at Dixons Carphone!

We are looking to hire an experienced Finance Manager to join our Network Finance Team. The role will focus on the revenue streams earned from mobile networks and maximising the benefits of the commercial terms.

You will: 

  • Take ownership of Network balance sheets – full process understanding, monthly reconciliation, quarterly revaluation and Risk & Ops review
  • Be the key finance contact with the Network. Ensure action logs are maintained and issues are resolved
  • Business partner with trading and commercial teams to ensure all network opportunities are maximised and that deliverables under the commercial terms are monitored and effectively utilised
  • Provide financial support on proposition initiatives along with ad-hoc analysis as and when required
  • Complete quarterly price-book reviews proposing changes to provisions, churn and out of bundle assumptions to minimise balance sheet exposures based on most recent network data
  • Provide accurate monthly reporting of on-going revenue and cash vs amortisation, with variances to budget/forecast understood and explained
  • Maintain an accurate on-going revenue forecast supported by the network model
  • Input to assumptions for reforecasts and budget based on current performance and balance sheet exposures or opportunities
  • Assist with claims process to ensure all revenue is collected
  • Ensure compliance with group accounting policy and supports internal and external audits
  • Make recommendations to constantly evolve, develop and improve business-as-usual (BAU) processes
  • Ensure efficient utilisation of Centre of Excellence (Czech Republic)
  • Managing one direct report (part-qualified accountant)


You will have : 

  • Strong academics and be a Professionally qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent), with post qualification experienced gained with an Accounting Firm (ideally Big 4) or a large commercial organisation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to influence at all levels of the business
  • An ability to explain complex issues in a clear and transparent manner
  • Demonstrable evidence of building relationships with Business Partners and Senior Stakeholders
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong technical accounting ability
  • Knowledge of Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, Business Objects and managing large data sets.
  • Commercial understanding of telecommunications or broadband provider
