The Talent and Development team at Dixons Carphone is embarking on an exciting journey where it is inspiring our managers and colleagues to engage in learning in a value adding way, whereby they can access the development they require when the need it and in the best form for their personal learning style.

Shaping a new role within the Talent & Development team, you will be responsible for driving our annual performance cycle and improving our management development capability primarily across our Head Office and Home Services & Logistics functions. You will be instrumental in ensuring that managers can see the commercial and engagement value of strong people leadership, plus have the skills and knowledge to deliver their responsibilities effectively. You will also support that talent identification and development agenda.

You will:

  • Ensure the role of a people manager is understood and traction is gained among leaders about the benefits of upskilling line managers and holding them to account.
  • Partner with HRBPs and key stakeholders to influence, shape, facilitate, land and evaluate blended management development initiatives to support the achievement of the business objectives and drive sustainable behavioural change.
  • Upskill colleagues in the wider business to also facilitate learning whilst ensuring high standards are maintained.
  • Work with the learning technologies team to buy, build and curate online management development learning content on existing platforms.
  • Manage our performance management approach to drive a sustainable high performance culture in which managers and colleagues see the value in and have the skills to conduct great performance and personal development conversations throughout the year.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to build appropriate tools, communications and upskilling interventions.
  • Co-facilitate talent reviews to identify future talent & create robust succession plans

You will have:

  • Sound knowledge of learning and development methodologies, with design and delivery experience in behavioural and management skills development.
  • Uses an innovative and creative approach to solution build when appropriate with experience of delivering against 70 20 10 principles
  • Project management skills, able to devise appropriate timelines and interdependencies across multiple projects
  • Experienced in working with online in a social, interactive and engaging manner
  • Proven track record in demonstrating ROI on management development interventions
