Dixons Carphone are going through an exciting period of transformation with IT taking centre stage. We are now looking for an IT Project Manager to join our IT Transformation team and lead projects within the Supply Chain Transformation programme. You will lead 3rd parties, partners and any Solutions Integrator to ensure successful end to end delivery to agreed time, cost and quailty. 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Liaising extensively with the internal and external clients and drive the projects through all the stages of delivery and implementation
  • Manage the SI and 3rd party project managers to influence successful implementation end to end and ensure right resources are engaged at the right time for the successful delivery of a project
  • Accountable for the creation of individual project plans for DCG
  • Managing project timescales and milestones delivery
  • Stakeholder relationship with the business
  • Project issues management
  • Risk management
  • Project documentation management

 

Skills & experience required:

  • Experience in tracking and maintaining project finances and support development of business cases
  • Experience of managing change in areas of warehousing, logistics and supply chain operations, system development and technology
  • Lead and deliver initiatives in a cross functional environment
  • Worked within a standard project management methodology
  • Strong influencing skills – able to get the job done without line authority
  • Good communication skills - able to communicate complex technical issues simply
  • Organisationally aware – knowledge of the best ways to get things done
  • Good awareness of managing change in a commercially sensitive environment
  • Good understanding of warehouse operations and process management
  • Experience of various WMS and OMS an advantage
