Dixons Carphone are going through an unprecedented period of change and transformation, with IT taking centre stage. We are now looking for an IT Project Manager to manage large sized IT projects from initiation through to implementation spanning across the Dixons Carphone Group’s business. 

You will sit within our IT Transformation team, playing a key role in delivering a range of projects as we build on our success as Europe’s number one electronics and telecommunications retailer, and adapt to the ever-changing retail market.

What will you do?

  • Take responsibility for the management and successful execution of large, high-profile and ambiguous IT projects that span across multiple business units and areas totalling over £1m in cost.
  • Build and manage multiple project teams built from internal teams, third party organisations and specialist contractors.
  • Provide very strong leadership to the project team and actively represent the IT project team.
  • Ensure strong working relationships across the Dixons Carphone Group business are built rapidly and sustained through the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure that comprehensive project, quality, and risk plans are prepared and proactively managed. 

 

What are we looking for from you?

  • Expert knowledge of relevant project management methodologies, development life cycles etc. including first-hand experience of agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Expert knowledge of financial forecasting and budget management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including creating concise PowerPoint slides for senior stakeholder distribution.
  • Good knowledge of resource and service management tools and techniques when working with multiple third parties.
  • Experience in effective team coaching and managing high performance teams.
