Financial Analyst


We're looking for a Financial Analyst to join the UK finance function. The jobholder will assist the iD Mobile Head of Finance and Finance Manager in producing the monthly Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cashflow for the iD mobile business. The role will include the modelling of customer performance and supporting with the budgeting and forecasting of the business. 

iD Mobile is a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) operating in the United Kingdom and Ireland as iD Mobile Limited, using the Three network in both countries. It is owned by Dixons Carphone and was launched on 12 May 2015.


You will:


  • Assist the Finance Manager in the production of the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Account.
  • Help the team with compliance, group accounting policy and supporting internal and external audits.
  • Ensure that all key financial controls are in place.
  • Manage month end process - processing journals and reporting on budget variances.
  • Assist with the production of risks and opportunities.
  • Produce and manage ownership of monthly models which track customer activity in relation to iD Mobile.
  • Maintain these customer models and review these with the iD Head of finance.
  • Partner with commercial team in ensuring that inputs to models are delivered on time and that any responses to data questions are delivered in a timely manner
  • Assist with the production of the budget and short-term forecasts

You will need:


  • Strong academic background (to Degree level)
  • A recognised Accounting Qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) - the role would ideally suit a recently/newly qualified accountant.
  • Relevant industry experience gained within a fast paced, commercial environment.
  • Experience of profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow production
  • Excellent data and Excel skills including reporting, modelling and analytics using large, complex data sets.
  • Working knowledge of current accounting practices and standards.
  • A collaborative working style, able to build relationships with stakeholders within the business.
  • Engaging and versatile communication skills
