As a Designate First Line Manager, you’ll assist in the leadership of teams across the Newark Campus operation. Assisting with the management of all people metrics, you’ll be essential in supporting our colleagues to develop their capability and confidence. 

And that’s not all! Your own leadership skills will grow as you’ll participate in a Team Leadership apprenticeship and work closely every day with our management team. 

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:   


•    Assisting in the team leadership and efficient management of all people metrics for a work area where colleague achievements and contributions are widely thanked, recognised and rewarded
•    Supporting the enablement of colleagues to work with confidence across various work areas in the operation to better meet changing customer needs
•    Analysing key performance measures to identify opportunities and risks across the work area, using this to develop a plan of action with the FLM and Operations Manager  
•    Role modelling and embedding strict adherence to safe and legal working practices, complying with all Health and Safety and Security policies


You will need: 


•    Ability to engage with a team to achieve results, using communication skills to effectively share knowledge, experience and actively listen to feedback 
•    The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholder across all areas
•    To be flexible and positive as you work across different areas, adapting to change and supporting our colleagues

Participation in the Level 3 Apprenticeship in Team Leadership is a mandatory requirement of the role.
