DESCRIPTION

The editorial content team sits within the creative and content team in marketing. We support our main brands Currys PC World and Carphone Warehouse, as well as our other brands including iD Mobile, Currys PC World Business and Dixons Travel. 


Our busy team is responsible for all written communications – including posters and point of sale instore, CRM emails, content on our websites, digital and press advertising and our consumer blogs. 


The copywriter’s role is to make sure in each of these channels, our writing meets our high standards. We speak in one voice, championing the customer, and constantly exploring new ways to improve their journey with our brand. 


You’ll assist the Assistant Manager and Senior Copywriter (Marketing) to deliver against briefs from our marketing team, including the advertising, retail, CRM and digital teams. 
You’ll also work collaboratively with the rest of the copy team, subbing each other’s work, and offering constructive feedback. 


It’s a wide and varied role that could see you doing everything from assisting with campaign creative, creating point of sale copy, writing emails and web copy and producing content for our consumer blogs, including writing and helping to produce video scripts.


You’ll also work with our product copywriting team, able to offer back-up support when needed

 

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:

 

  • Developing imaginative copy and content that meets the brief, in line with various Dixons Carphone brand’s tone of voice. 
  • Working with our production team to make sure that deadlines are met and work is delivered to brief. 
  • Building excellent relationships with colleagues in the studio team, and our wider group of clients.  
  • Knowing your subject. Stay abreast of the latest technology in order to keep our audience in touch with the latest developments. 
  • Attending briefing meetings, and brainstorms, effectively collaborating with our clients to get the right information. 

 

Desired Skills & Experience:

 

  • A qualification in English language, journalism or similar
  • Experience turning messaging into creative copy 
  • Experience writing converting copy for landing pages, emails and Social Media
  • Experience working with designers and collaborating as part of a creative team
