An exciting opportunity for a category manager to join the Curry’s PC World Business team.

The Category Manager will work with the Head of Category to develop and implement the category plan to deliver the sales and profit target across all channels.

The role will work across all commercial category teams to develop a compelling commercial proposition for the B2B market. You will have a crucial role in delivering planned activities, working in partnership with the commercial planning, online, marketing and sales teams.

With a strong understanding of our business customers, you will also work directly with key suppliers to build unique B2B propositions offering compelling reasons for customers to buy from Curry’s PC World Business.


You will:

  • Build relationships with several key suppliers to ensure, best supply and market leading promotions
  • Work cross category to understand the teams’ promotional and commercial plans and translate these into a B2B proposition.
  • Be aware of market activity and continually use this information to ensure that the category is performing.
  • Compile weekly trading decks, QBR’s and manage CRM activity.
  • Manage 2 assistant category managers to land exciting promotional plans and marketing collateral.
  • Source, setup and market new products and ranges.
  • Manage weekly and ad hoc reporting duties on Business objects (training provided)
  • Support the Head of Category in meetings with key stakeholders


You will need:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills to understand and articulate the key impacts on performance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Developed negotiation and influencing skills
  • Precise judgment and strong decision-making skills to enable the right actions for the category
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel and powerpoint
  • Previous B2B experience not necessary, but a commercial background preferred. (NB- This is not a sales focussed role).
