Affiliate and Partnerships Manager

Working in the Carphone Warehouse online/ecommerce department, the individual will lead the affiliate & digital partnership activity for the brand.  As we continue to focus on digital growth, this channel is key to ensure we continue to convert customers at a high rate.  Working with the existing team, the individual will shape, refine & develop our affiliate and partnerships program for maximum growth & ROI.  This is a strategic role with extensive budget management, internal and external stakeholder management and a large amount of relationship management.


You Will:


  • Fully manage the affiliate channel – budget management and forecasting, managing our affiliate network Awin, building relationships with key partners and ensuring we have strong profitable agreements in place
  • Develop an affiliate strategy, focusing on growing our existing position
  • Produce a road map for technology to support our affiliate & partnership activity
  • Establish strong working relationships with key affiliates
  • Establish strong working relationships with all relevant stakeholders at our affiliate network, Awin
  • Champion the affiliate channel across the business
  • Support the Carphone Warehouse brand in achieving financial objectives
  • Work with finance & procurement to secure favourable rates for the business
  • Establish strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, especially trading functions & UX
  • Support the launch of all new handsets to the market
  • Work closely with suppliers to drive incremental sales and help secure supplier funding
  • Work with the other channels to understand the incrementally of the affiliate channel
  • Upkeep and circulate a weekly structured promotional affiliate calendar
  • Produce detailed assessments of on-going affiliate activity, including financial performance monitoring for maximum growth & ROI


You Need:


  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong business acumen
  • Comfortable managing large budgets
  • Strong negotiation skills, comfortable in tough negotiations
  • Extensive knowledge of mobile phone industry
  • Expert experience in an affiliate & partnership related role – 4+ years
  • Ability to communicate with senior level representatives within an organization
  • Ability to communicate with senior level representatives outside of an organization
  • Highly numerical & analytical
  • Sound knowledge & understanding of commercial operations within a business
