So, when you meet us, we want it to go as well as possible, so that you can show us who you are and how you see yourself with us. Explore the sections below to find out how to prepare.
There’s no need to pretend that you’re somebody else or imagine there’s a perfect answer. Very often there is more than one right way to complete a task.
You’re being measured not against the other candidates but against the criteria for the role. Our best outcome is if everyone who attends the day passes.
Spend some time researching the company and ideally visit one of our stores to get some first-hand knowledge
Don’t worry if something doesn’t go well - one bad exercise doesn’t mean you haven’t got the job.
Plan your journey carefully beforehand and give yourself plenty of time to get there.
Please dress in smart business wear for the day.
Remember that this is a two way conversation; it’s about finding out whether we’re the right fit for you, as much as you are for us. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions throughout the day, so it’s a good idea to prepare at least 3-5 questions about the role, the interviewer, the company, etc.
Be relaxed, confident, and professional, whether you’re sitting in an interview or giving a presentation. Don’t fidget, don’t slouch, and try not to cross your arms. Keep up the eye contact and give us your best smile, even if you’re nervous.
If you don’t understand a question, or you need the interviewer to repeat it, then say so. Take your time, breathe, and give us an answer once you’ve thought about it. We want you to do well, and we’d rather you took the time to give us a thoughtful, structured answer that shows off the best of your talent and experience.
Be enthusiastic and engaged: you need to convince your assessors that you’re excited to be considered for this position.
