Since the Covid-19 pandemic began, technology has become a lifeline, helping people connect. That’s made our job more important than ever – and we’re incredibly proud of our colleagues for stepping up. Throughout lockdown and beyond, our amazing team has helped customers access vital products and services, while keeping safety front and centre. And while our colleagues protect customers, we’re doing the same for them.

The wellbeing of our team – and potential new colleagues – is our priority, now and in the future. Read on to discover how we’re keeping everyone safe, in stores, on site, at home and throughout the recruitment process.

  • WORKING FROM HOME

    To keep our team safe, some of our offices are closed temporarily or shut until further notice, and where possible others are open with safety measures in place. For the colleagues working from home, we’ve made it possible by providing laptops, VPN access and everything they need. We’ve also set up a Home Working Hub that’s packed with useful content. This one-stop shop is full of helpful information, from tools for online collaboration, to troubleshooting tips.

  • WORKING FROM HOME

    To keep our team safe, some of our offices are closed temporarily or shut until further notice, and where possible others are open with safety measures in place. For the colleagues working from home, we’ve made it possible by providing laptops, VPN access and everything they need. We’ve also set up a Home Working Hub that’s packed with useful content. This one-stop shop is full of helpful information, from tools for online collaboration, to troubleshooting tips.

WORKING IN STORE/ON-SITE

As stores, repair centres and contact centres have gradually reopened (our distribution hubs have been ticking over throughout lockdown!), we’ve introduced a number of safety measures. We’ve followed government advice from the start and done all we can to give our team peace of mind and maximise safety.

WORKING IN STORE/ON-SITE

As stores, repair centres and contact centres have gradually reopened (our distribution hubs have been ticking over throughout lockdown!), we’ve introduced a number of safety measures. We’ve followed government advice from the start and done all we can to give our team peace of mind and maximise safety.

  • EVERYWHERE

    • Two-metre social distancing is in effect, with clear floor signs in place
    • Extra protective equipment has been provided for colleagues – including hand gel and free branded face masks
    • We have introduced increased and more regular cleaning

  • IN STORE

    • Only a limited number of customers are permitted in store at any one time
    • Screens have been fitted at till points and in other key areas
    • Zero-contact drive thru/walk-up order and collect services have been introduced

  • AND IN CONTACT, REPAIR AND DISTRIBUTION CENTRES

    • Dedicated walkways and drop-off points have been implemented in repair labs
    • A one-way system for people and products is now in place to eliminate crossovers
    • Empty benches have been introduced between colleagues to help with social distancing

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a mental, financial and physical impact upon our people. So, we’ve made sure  all colleagues can access support through our Employee Assistance Programme. Along with this free, confidential, 24-hour counselling service, there’s also our new online Wellbeing Hub. This is full of helpful advice and information on areas including: Mental health support and resources, Resilience, Family matters and  Financial wellbeing.

Wherever you  join us, you’ll be given all the tools and support needed to ensure you feel safe and confident in the start of your  career with us.
